WHITE HAIRY MONSTERS...

Today the lady who helps in our house came running in to the living room. "Pastor" she asked; Did you see the report on TV yesterday about the "white Monsters"? Since I worked late yesterday I denied and she went on to tell me about the plaque of white huge worm type bugs covered with hair. If you picked them up you will get burned. But to make the horror story complete she told me that the "monsters" are in our mango tree. Come and look she said with big scary eyes. And indeed when I went to the mango tree there they were; Eating away the leaves on the tree and I finally understood why a couple of months a go we had so much young fruit growing in the tree and now it was all gone.

When I thought about it for a while I was reminded of how it often goes in our personal life. To bear fruit we need to stay close to Our Heavenly Father and walk in His ways. Often "White Monsters" show up and if we let them they take our focus away from God and we stop producing fruits .My prayer for today is that I would be aware of those "White hairy Monsters" in my life and that I would have the courage to deal with them and get rid of them.

It is the last few days....

It is the last few days before the kids and I leave for the States. Yesterday, I explained to all the babies that I would be gone from them for many days while I visited my family in America. I showed them pictures of a map and where the project was, and I pointed to where I was going, and that I would travel by airplane. I also showed them pictures of my family and the snow. They were all quiet with wide eyed interest, and were especially happy to know that I would bring them each back a small present. The baby house, now with 17 babies and toddlers, has seen so many good changes since the time when I began my focus there, thanks be to God. Our kids are much calmer now and are affectionate and obedient. The workers are doing a superb job, and the new house just seems to overflow with love, consideration and kindness. The babies, who have already seen such pain and trauma in their young lives, are now growing and blooming in the light of the Father's wonderful love.
