Holidays.....

Holidays can be a difficult but rewarding time for all of us. This year for Carnival , as a family, we didn’t travel to the beach, spend time partying or barbecuing with family the way many Brazilians celebrate the time, we worked . Many of the children of the project get to go out and visit with family members or friends, but there are still those who get left behind. For those that do get left at the project, we love to go in and do special things to make a special memory. This year I was able to take three children who were left at the baby house to ride horse. One day, we were able to take all the children left at the baby house to visit one of the monitors, who is recuperating from surgery. She and her husband were so happy to have us that they made us a barbecue and gave some ice cream for dessert. I saw such contentment on the children’s faces, and realized how God blessed the little things that we do. They didn’t feel left behind or forgotten, the same way that we are not left behind or forgotten by our Heavenly Father.
